Re-opening after COVID-19

FMcD Physiotherapy is Open.

It is our priority that patients and therapists are protected to the utmost of our ability. We are operating with a policy of social distancing and thorough, regular sanitising.

From the Outset

Patients will be asked the following in relation to the previous 14 days:

Have they

  • Had a fever above 38 degrees?
  • And/or symptoms of cough or shortness of breath?
  • Travelled to another country with a high transmission of Covid19?
  • Had contact with someone who has (had) respiratory symptoms?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, they will be asked not to attend.

In Addition

Patients in ‘at-risk’ groups should not attend unless their symptoms requiring treatment are acute and the benefit of treatment will outweigh the risk of leaving their home. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

In the Clinic

  • There are sanitising hand gels and tissues throughout the clinic. The clinic is sanitised frequently throughout the day, including commonly touched surfaces.
  • Treatment rooms are cleaned thoroughly by the therapist between every patient session.
  • The physio will be wearing a surgical mask, a plastic apron, gloves and a face shield. These are changed between patients.
  • The patient will be asked to wear a mask and at times gloves, supplied by the clinic.
  • The patient will be asked for consent to take and record their temperature on the day.

Payment would preferably be made by card rather than cash. We can send an invoice for payment if card not used on the day.
